Social Tennis

Social Tennis

PLTC prides itself on providing tennis for everyone. Our social tennis sessions are the heart of the club, allowing all to play with those who we'd not normally play in a friendly and supportive environment.

Days and times

  • Wednesdays 9am - 12pm (improvers / social players) and 7pm – 10pm (team players/coach approved and invitation only)
  • Sundays 9.30am - 11.30am (beginners / improvers) and 2pm – 5pm (improvers / social players)

What to expect

  • All sessions are played as doubles, where you'll normally get to play two or three sets in per session
  • Depending on attendance, you will rotate both partners and courts
  • The bar will be open for you to enjoy - many people stay to enjoy a drink as well as the tennis!

We encourage all members that feel comfortable playing at the standard played at our socials to take part, enjoy themselves and meet new friends. We've put together some guidance and the process that is used to ensure social sessions can be managed with no extra hassle so that everyone can enjoy themselves!

Club Tournament

Club Tournament

Our club tournament is the highlight of the year and attracts a good crowd where everyone supports each other. Matches are played through May, June and July, culminating in a special club event when the finals are played over the course of a weekend in September. On finals day, everyone can enjoy the sights and sounds of some fun, competitive tennis over lots of food and drink, and ends with a great BBQ and party in the evening.

Whether you have played before or want to try some competitive tennis for the first time, this is a great opportunity to meet other similar players from the club, play against people who you may have not played before and most importantly, have fun!
